Columbus Coffee is more of a brunch-style café than a dessert place, so my options were fairly limited on the waffle front. While there were five different types of waffles to choose from, only vanilla ice cream was available when we dined there.
I tried the Salted Caramel Buttermilk Waffle, which automatically came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The other waffle options come with sliced fruit and berry compote, so it might be worth trying those if you’re looking for something a bit more flavoursome.
The waffle itself was fairly decent. The texture reminded me of A&W’s waffles, light and fluffy but with a good bite. Though if I was being picky, mine could have been a little crispier around the edges.
The café is large and well-lit, giving it a comfortable atmosphere, but it can get busy quick, especially during the lunch-hour rush.
