The Daily Scoop has been around for years now and has four outlets spread across Singapore.
With dozens of flavours to choose from and their bright, family-friendly decor, I’m surprised they haven’t expanded more. They definitely know their ice cream (rich, creamy, never too sweet, made fresh daily)—and their waffles aren’t bad either.
Their special Churros Waffle, however, is in a league of its own. These days, it’s always what I end up ordering.
Churros Waffle with Mao Shan Wang and ‘Surprising’ Coconut Ice Cream ($8.80)Originally introduced as a seasonal item, this light and crunchy waffle has become a mainstay on The Daily Scoop’s menu. Baked to a crisp and served with a liberal amount of cinnamon sugar and maple-flavoured syrup, it beats their already-respectable regular waffle to hell and back.
Slap on a double scoop of ice cream (the Mao Shan Wang and whimsically named ‘Surprising’ Coconut are my go-to flavours), and you might as well have an orgy taking place in your mouth.
