Lovely waffle that hits all the right notes for me. Light, fragrant, buttery, slightly dense but still crispy all through, with a texture comparable to toasted brioche, this is more like a Liege waffle than the Belgian or Brussels waffle that’s more commonly found in Singapore cafes, and is so good it can be effortlessly eaten on its own without ice cream.
That’s not to downplay Rabbit Owl’s ice cream, which is extremely smooth and creamy (but maybe a little too sweet). The Open Sesame (roasted black sesame) flavour is my jam here, because it’s one of the flavours that’s actually not that sweet.
