Located in Marine Cove, East Coast Commune is a large, spacious café that offers a decent menu of brunch items and desserts.
There are three Sourdough Waffles available on the menu; your Classic Waffle, which comes with a limited choice of ice cream flavours, Forest Berries and Chocolate Praline.
We went for the latter option. Generously comprised of chocolate praline mousse, pieces of honeycomb, fresh berries, crystallized hazelnut and a topping of Summer Berries Ice Cream, the Chocolate Praline Sourdough Waffle was an absolute treat.

Perfectly soft in the centre while crispy on the outside, with a pleasant crunch from the added honeycomb. The ice cream was tasty without being overly sweet, and balanced well with the sourdough waffle.
The café’s interior suitably reflects the Marine Cove setting, with plenty of blue and white décor that gives the place a clean and stylish look.
