Bing Bing is a small-batch creamery known for its freshly made ice cream and customisable ice cream cakes. They also serve waffles, which was, naturally, the main reason I decided to pop in for a visit.

The Waffle: Alas, this is the type of waffle I hate most. Thick, barely crispy at all on the outside, and having a bread-like consistency on the inside. Worse still, despite the batter being quite fragrant, it was almost tasteless. Some buttery notes might’ve helped salvaged it, but this waffle was as bland as it gets—so much so that the addition of maple syrup and chocolate chips did little to help improve the taste. 2/5
The Ice Cream: The Earl Grey & Fig was an interesting flavour, with the Earl Grey providing sharp citrusy notes and the fig balancing it out with its own mildly sweet floral qualities. I didn’t like the texture of the ice cream, though. As someone who prefers lighter, airier ice cream, this was too dense and firm, and I didn’t enjoy the heavy mouthfeel. 3/5
I had the same issue with the texture of the Sea Salt Caramel & Almond ice cream, and that was exacerbated by me just really disliking this flavour. It was salty, yes, but tasted more like butter than caramel. There also didn’t seem to be much almond in it either, to the point where I could barely detect any at all. So, much like the waffle, this ended up tasting bland and uninspired to me. 2/5

I may not have enjoyed Bing Bing’s waffle or ice cream, but others may well have had different experiences. They clearly have their fans, considering how they’ve managed to expand to three outlets across Singapore in the span of a few years.
