MiMi.c Cafe

MiMi.c is a new cafe occupying the space that Rabbit Owl Depot used to, selling a variety of Taiwanese milk teas and traditional Chinese desserts like guilinggao and double skin milk.

Waffles also take up a spot on the menu, which was, of course, what prompted me to give the place a shot.

Having already had a heavy dinner, I chose to have MiMi.c’s Waffle without ice cream (it’s just the standard-fare Mingo stuff, anyways), and settled on a combination of chocolate syrup and blueberry jam for my toppings. Since I requested that the waffle be crispier, I had to wait a little longer than usual for it to bake (around twelve minutes). While this waffle did turn out crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, it was way too thick and dense for me to finish alone. The batter used was fragrant and tasty enough, though. 3/5

What MiMi.c definitely has going for it is its interior (and exterior) design. Cutesy neon signs and attractively shot photos of the cafe’s extensive offerings really make it stand out amongst the more banal-looking shops in the area. Inside, the pink-and-white color scheme gives the place a visually pleasing, fairytale-esque vibe.
